SJR 64, filed by Sen. John Carona (R-16), is in the Senate Business and Commerce Committee and SJR 36, filed by Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa (D-20), is in the Senate Finance Committee. Both bills need a vote to pass committee and go to the full Senate.
Senators Kevin Eltife (R-1) and Craig Estes (R-30) serve on both the Business and Commerce and Finance Committees, and Sen. Larry Taylor (R-11) serves on the Business and Commerce Committee (R-11). Call their offices today and ask them to vote in support of both SJR 64 and SJR 36! It’s time to let Texans decide on gaming and we need their vote to make it happen.
