Casio operators in Oklahoma announced the construction of ANOTHER casino and hotel that’s just a quick drive north of Dallas/Ft. Worth on State Road 75 or Interstate 35. It sure is tough to keep our map updated!
Let Texans Decide has a map to show just how surrounded Texas is by neighbor-state casinos. It’s only getting worse, y’all. Our neighboring states – Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico – are home to dozens of casinos that are right across Texas borders and only a quick drive from many Texas towns and metropolitan areas.
The Texas legislature needs to allow Texans to decide at the polls on expanding gaming. Texans could visit entertainment and gaming establishments in their home state, and Texas money, in Texas. It’s long past due to bring the money, jobs, and economic development that our neighbors are taking from us, back to Texas.
