WFAA: Expanded Gaming Supporters Push for Legislative Vote

WFAA Dallas/Fort Worth ran a segment on last night’s news highlighting the gaming push in Texas.  Andrea Young, President of Sam Houston Race Park and a leading voice for Let Texans Decide, is absolutely right: “we know it’s time to bring that money and those jobs back home. I think Texans are smart enough to decide this.” Polls consistently show that Texans want to decide on gaming, and we need approval from the Texas legislature.

We agree with Anthony Dillard of Texas that if casinos were brought to Texas, Texans could keep their money here instead of traveling to Oklahoma or Louisiana. “I go to Louisiana, I go to Oklahoma so bring it here, I can stay at home,” said Dillard.  In fact, expanded gaming in the state would keep over $2.5 BILLION dollars in Texas that’s currently going to Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico each year.

Texans are ready to decide on gaming.  Send your legislator a letter and sign our petition to show your legislator YOU support voting on gaming in Texas!
